On Jun 11th, 2016, we UCLers have gathered in Shanghai Hongta hotel to celebrate the 2016 UCL Alumni Shanghai Annual Party. This is the most significant reunion for UCLers to share the latest news of UCL, exchange ideas, meet old friends and establish new social networks.
The party started with a video summarizing what UCL and UCL graduates have achieved in the past year. Those colorful pictures of UCL reminded us of the unforgettable study experience in London. One of the UCLers, Yan Lou, presented her beautiful voice (<Young and Beautiful>) to all for this happy moment. Besides, the upcoming philanthropic campaign held by UCL alumni office was introduced in the party, looking forward to the participation of more people.
Moreover, two important speakers were invited to the party. One was Simon Mahony, a Senior Teaching Fellow with Programme Director in Digital Humanities. Another was Mr. Lei Cai, the Chairman of SORSA-UCL and also a Partner of Tianyuan Law Firm. Both of them made inspiring speeches and showed great passion for the party.
Though it happens to be the Chinese Dragon Boat Holiday, still there are more than 100 UCLers participated. Really thank you all for coming! It was a great success with the effort of UCL Alumni Shanghai Club. A big thanks to all the volunteers! The party was full of laughs and interaction of all attendants. It was a colorful reunion for UCLers to gather together and communicate with each other.
Last but not the least, the served Drinks and a light buffet were really fantastic!
